The Comprehensive Planning Process was developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) to provide a consistent framework for all school districts as they plan for the future. School districts must draft a new Comprehensive Plan every three years to address continuous improvement in the areas of leadership, teaching and learning. Development of the plan occurs over the course of several months through meetings with community members, parents, students, staff, and administrators to gather feedback, assess the district’s needs, develop the mission and vision, and establish goals and objectives. Columbia Borough School District’s 2024-2027 Comprehensive Plan is due to PDE in March 2024.
