🏅🌟 Columbia Track and Field Shines at District III 2A Championship! 🌟🏅 We are incredibly proud to announce that our track and field team represented our district with excellence at the District III 2A Track and Field Championship meet, placing an impressive 4th overall! 🎉 Here are some of our standout individual accomplishments: Brelon Miller: 🥇 1st in long jump (20' 10") 5th in triple jump 🥇 Part of the 4X100m team that placed 1st! Quincy Stewart: 🥇 1st in the 400m race (making him a 2-time 400m district champion) 🥈 2nd in the 200m race 🥇 Part of the 4X100m team that placed 1st! Artie Poindexter: 🥉 3rd in high jump (6'0") 4th in triple jump 7th in the 100m race 🥇 Part of the 4X100m team that placed 1st! Demari Simms: 6th in the 100m race 🥇 Part of the 4X100m team that placed 1st! A special shoutout to our 4X100m team - Artie Poindexter, Demari Simms, Brelon Miller, and Quincy Stewart - for setting a new school record with a blazing time of 43.8 seconds! 🏆🔥 They will compete again next week at the PIAA State Track and Field Championship at Shippensburg University on Friday, May 24th, and Saturday, May 25th. Yesterday, the 7th grade Step Up leaders at the Hill Campus welcomed Taylor's 6th graders for "Step Up Day"! On Wednesday, the 8th graders of the Columbia Middle School-Hill Campus took a trip to historic Gettysburg, building on what they've learned about the Civil War this year in Social Studies class. It was a warm day but the students provided lots of positive feedback regarding their experience!

Mini-THON students toured Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital to see their fundraising efforts in action! Makenzie Kuhn, Miya Helm and Kayla Hess, accompanied by Mrs. Eckman Wissler, had a chance to meet staff psychologists, tour one of the research labs meeting researchers and doctors and meet one of the Four Diamonds chaplains. It was an amazing experience for the students, inspiring them for next year's event! FTK!
